Interesting 12" Lorino's Terrestrial Globe, containing all the late discoveries and Geographical Improvements. Also the Tracks of the most Celebrated Circumnavigators. Compiled from Smiths New English Globe, with Additions and Improvements by Annin and Smith. Revised by G.W. Boynton, and manufactured by Gilman Joslin, Boston. There is damage to the globe shown in photos 8 and 9. It is perfectly stable. There is a small piece of paper missing, shown best in photo #2. I assume someone out there can repair it. It is mounted on a rotating table. I do not know if this is a marriage or not. The table has 4 rollers mounted on its surface, shown in photo #11, that the top of the table and globe rotate on. It is a little wobbly when you turn it. I believe the protruding wooden pin in the center needs to be trimmed down a little. The date of 1864 can be seen at the bottom of photo #4. The total height of the globe on the table is 46". The table top is 20" in diameter, and 28 1/2" tall from the floor to the table top. Shipping in two boxes is a flat 5.00 in the Continental US
